Build letters from recurring movements instead of memorising an alphabet.

Start with families

Letters that share an oval, an underturn, an overturn or a stem are studied together. This reduces the number of separate movements a learner needs to understand.

Compare proportion

Worksheets place several versions of the same letter side by side. Learners look at x-height, width, slant and entry or exit length before writing their own examples.

Move into joins

A letter can look controlled in isolation and become unstable when connected. Exercises therefore move quickly into short pairs and repeated joins.

Word rhythm

Once joins are understandable, short words are used to study spacing. Some activities remove visual detail and ask the learner to focus only on the white spaces between strokes.

Small composition task

The final practice is a short phrase or card. The goal is not decorative complexity but deliberate margins, spacing, line length and consistent scale.
